15 districts to fight for Punjab Junior Kho Kho Championship at Hoshiarpur

Chandigarh, Oct 31(UNI) Hoshiarpur will host the Punjab State Junior Kho Kho Championship which will be held on 2nd and 3rd November at Rayat Bahra Professional University. The championship will see Under 18 teams from 15 districts vying for the title with each district fielding teams in both the boys and girls category which is organised by Kho Kho Association of Hoshiarpur under the auspices of Kho Kho Association of Punjab and Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI).
The championship will be inaugurated by Guest of Honour Shailender Thakur, Principal, GSSS, Naru Nangal in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Ravjot Singh, Cabinet Minister for Local Government & Parliamentary Affairs and Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Member of Parliament, Hoshiarpur.
Speaking ahead of the championship, Upkar Singh Virk, General Secretary, Kho Kho Association of Punjab & General Secretary, KKFI said, “This championship is an important platform for our junior players to showcase their skills and gain valuable competitive experience. We have been consistently working towards strengthening Kho Kho at the grassroots level, and Punjab has shown remarkable enthusiasm for the sport. With initiatives like this, the Federation aims to nurture young talent and provide them with structured opportunities to progress to the national stage.”
