MOC approves foreign training for Neeraj, Manu & Gulveer Singh as prep for CWG, Asiad

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) With the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games around the corner, the Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) approved two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra's request for 47-day off-season training camp in Switzerland during its 173rd meeting here on Wednesday.
The Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) Core athlete, who is rehabilitating from back injury in Turkiye, will train at the Olympic Training Centre in Bienne from May 25 to July 10 as preparation for the two mega multi-discipline events.
The Commonwealth Games will be staged in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2, while the Asian Games will be organized in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

London, June 10 (UNI) Serena Williams' doubles campaign at Queen's is in jeopardy after her partner Victoria Mboko suffered a knee injury in her singles match against Karolina Pliskova.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion, 44, made her return to tennis on Tuesday after almost four years away from the sport, playing doubles alongside Mboko.
The pair knocked out the third seeds, but there is now uncertainty around their quarter-final match on Thursday after Mboko suffered a nasty fall, according to BBC Sport.
