IPL 2026 final shifted to Ahmedabad; KSCA expresses disappointment

New Delhi, May 6 (UNI) The venue for the IPL 2026 final has been shifted from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, with the BCCI on Wednesday announcing a revised playoffs schedule that will see matches played across three venues — Dharamshala, New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad as a special case owing to operational and logistical considerations.
According to the schedule, Qualifier 1 will be played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on May 26, featuring the top two teams from the league stage. The winner of this match will secure a direct berth in the final.
The action will then move to the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, which will host the Eliminator on May 27 between the third and fourth-placed teams. The same venue will also
