Pakistan withdraws from FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025

Lausanne (Switzerland), Oct 29 (UNI) Pakistan will not take part in the FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025, scheduled in Chennai and Madurai from November 28 to December 10, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed today.
According to the Olympics.com, the Pakistan hockey team, which last lifted the junior world title in 1979, was drawn in Pool B alongside two-time champions India, Chile and Switzerland. Oman have been named as the replacement team.
The decision follows Pakistan’s withdrawal from the tournament despite being qualified for the FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 through their ranking at the 2024 Junior Asia Cup.
