Aus take control as Eng stagger at 134/6 by stumps

Brisbane, Dec 6 (UNI) Mitchell Starc produced a commanding allround performance at the Gabba on Saturday, smashing a crucial 77 and then striking twice with the ball to put Australia firmly on top on Day 3 of the pink-ball Ashes Test.
Starc's efforts powered Australia to a strong first-innings total of 511 before England staggered to 134 for 6 by stumps.
Starc walked in with Australia at a shaky stage, the lower order exposed early in the morning. But the left-hander delivered one of his finest Test innings, blending composure with clean hitting to swing the game heavily in Australia's favour. He took charge after Alex Carey’s dismissal, farming the strike intelligently and keeping England’s frustrated attack at bay.
