Telangana Governor visits Indira Mahila Shakti bazaar, praises women’s empowerment initiatives

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar near Shilparamam on Monday, lauding the ongoing efforts for women’s empowerment in the state.
Telangana Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka welcomed the Governor and felicitated him with a shawl.
Speaking at the event, Governor Varma appreciated the stalls run by women’s self-help groups, highlighting that the Saras Fair reflects the spirit of rural innovation and entrepreneurship. More than 150 stalls from over 20 states showcased a variety of products, from Nakashi dolls of Telangana to map paintings from Odisha, as well as offerings from northeastern states.
