Well Marked LP area over Bay persists, West Ghat, Cauvery delta, Southern dists to get rains

Chennai, May 14 (UNI) The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Bay persisted over the same region on Thursday promising rains in West Ghat, Cauvery delta an southern districts for the next 4-5 days.
Met office in an update said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry and Karaikal area.
It said yesterday’s Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal persists over the same region at 0830 hrs of today and the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level.

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has advanced further into some more parts of Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, as well as the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, southwest Bay of Bengal, parts of west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal, West Bengal and Bihar, according to the Meteorological Centre.
