Telangana: SCR team swings into action to accelerate rescue operations at SLBC tunnel collapse site

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (UNI) The South Central Railway (SCR) has deployed a team of metal cutting experts along with requisite machinery to clear debris inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) Tunnel.
A portion of the SLBC tunnel in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana State collapsed on Feb 22, and eight workers were trapped inside the tunnel.
The state government, with the help of the Indian Army, Navy, Rat Miners, and NDRF teams, has undertaken extensive operations to rescue those trapped inside.
