Telangana: Massive rescue operations underway at SLBC tunnel: Min. Uttam

Nagarkurnool (Telangana), Feb 27 (UNI) Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday assured that the rescue and relief operations, which are in full swing at the SLBC ( Srisailam Left Bank Canal) Tunnel to save the trapped eight workers, would be completed within two to three days, and the tunnel works would resume in two to three months.
Multi-agency rescue operation is in full swing at the SLBC tunnel, with the country’s best experts and advanced equipment deployed to save the workers trapped under the debris of the collapsed SLBC tunnel since Feb 22.
Speaking to media persons at the SLBC tunnel tragic accident site near Domalapenta in Nagarkurnool district, Uttam described the incident as one of the most complicated and complex tunnel accidents in Indian history, stating that for the first time, so many national and international agencies have been brought together under a unified command for the rescue mission.
