Telangana prisons dept launches PPP project at Cherlapalli

Hyderabad, Sep 27 (UNI) The Telangana Prisons Department today inaugurated its Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project at the Prison Agriculture Colony, Cherlapalli, marking a significant step in innovation, social responsibility, and community engagement.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Telangana Director General of Police Dr Jitender, IPS, who praised the vision of Dr Soumya Mishra, IPS, Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, for initiating a concept that combines learning with entertainment while promoting farming awareness and community bonding.
The project includes a Yoga Centre, Adventure Zone, Mini Golf Court, and ‘Farm-to-Plate’ activities. A key feature is the farming awareness programme, designed to introduce children and students to cultivation practices and highlight the importance of agriculture.
