Telangana Governor, spouse lead Bathukamma celebrations at Raj Bhavan

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) The Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, along with his spouse Ms Sudha Dev Varma, joined the Bathukamma festivities with the Raj Bhavan Pariwar on the Raj Bhavan premises on Monday, celebrating the State’s most vibrant floral festival with traditional fervour.
Ms Sudha Dev Varma led the traditional procession, gracefully carrying the Bathukamma to the lawns before the main house and actively taking part in the rituals. Her participation, alongside Raj Bhavan Pariwar members, highlighted the living spirit of Telangana’s iconic festival and its enduring cultural legacy.
On the occasion, the Governor and his spouse extended warm greetings to the women of Telangana, both within the State and among the diaspora worldwide. As traditional Bathukamma songs echoed through the evening, Smt. Sudha Dev Varma joined other women in circling the floral arrangements and singing in praise of the festival.
