India’s human spaceflight push enters execution phase as Gaganyaan testing advances

Bengaluru, Apr 8 (UNI) India’s human spaceflight ambitions are entering a decisive phase, with the focus shifting from announcements to execution as the Gaganyaan programme advances through critical testing milestones.
At the centre of this transition is ISRO Chief V Narayanan, who has underlined that the true complexity of human spaceflight lies not merely in launching a rocket but in managing an extended chain of mission operations that begin well before liftoff and continue long after.
His remarks highlight the heightened requirements of human missions, which demand greater safety standards, redundancy, and deeper systems integration compared to unmanned missions.
