Stalin slams PM, says Delimitation not reform, but reengineering power benefitting BJP dominated Northern states undermining India's federal, plural character

Chennai, Apr 9 (UNI) Terming the proposed Dilimitation would skew reppresentation and tilt the balance in favour of BJP-dominated Northern states, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Thursday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and termed the exercise as not a reform by reengineering power, which was undemocratic and unitary overeaching that undermine India's federal and plural character.
In a lengthy post on X, Mr Stalin said it was an attempt by the NDA government at the Centre headed by Mr Modi to favour Northern states while silencing the voice of South India.
He said it was not a neutral exercise but a calculated political restructuring as Northern states stands to gain nearly double the seats with the South's share stagnating at around 2.4 per cent.
