BJP, BRS acting as distraction gangs to derail welfare focus: TPCC

Hyderabad, May 14 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Wednesday alleged that the BJP and BRS are acting as “distraction gangs,” aiming to divert public attention from the Congress government’s growing popularity and its welfare initiatives.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan alongside former GHMC floor leader Md Wajid Hussain, Nizamuddin said both parties launch coordinated misinformation campaigns and personal attacks whenever the Congress announces or implements major schemes. He accused them of resorting to “lies, theatrics, and false alarms” to hijack public discourse.
He named BRS leaders K T Rama Rao, Harish Rao, and Kavitha, along with BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy, Eatala Rajender, and Bandi Sanjay, alleging they were engaged in a “scripted blame game” and baseless criticism. He said both parties were facing internal power struggles, which had weakened their organisational strength and morale.
