Any farmer dissatisfaction will impact us: Telangana Agriculture Minister

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on the Telangana Government’s loan waiver scheme, Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao stated that any dissatisfaction from the farmers would affect the government.
Speaking at a face-to-face interaction program organized at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Nageswara Rao said, “I am always in close contact with the farmers. If there was any dissatisfaction with the government, it would have been evident through protests. If there is any other government like ours in Telangana, it should be highlighted. The pain of losing power is felt by one party, while another strives to gain it,” the Minister said.
Referring to the loan waiver scheme, the Minister questioned, “Is the Telangana government’s loan waiver policy visible to Modi? Our government has waived off Rs 18,000 crore in loans for farmers. Are there similar loan waiver schemes in BJP-ruled states?”
