Kishan Reddy slams Congress, BRS for "neglecting Hyderabad"; lists major central projects for Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday hit out at both the Congress and BRS governments for what he termed “years of neglect and false promises” in Hyderabad, particularly in the Jubilee Hills constituency, while asserting that the BJP is the only party committed to real development in Telangana.
Speaking at a “Meet the Press” programme held at the Somajiguda Press Club, Kishan Reddy said the by-election in Jubilee Hills is a chance for voters to reject both BRS and Congress, who, despite ruling for over a decade, failed to solve even basic civic problems. “For 11 years, BRS MLAs have represented Jubilee Hills, yet drainages overflow, street lights don’t work, and many slums lack clean drinking water,” he said.
He added that the BRS government’s promise to make Hyderabad a ‘Singapore or Istanbul’ ended up as mere cosmetic beautification. “They just painted a few roads and called it development,” he said, adding that contractors are still waiting for pending payments, and civic bodies like GHMC and Hyderabad Metro Water Board are facing a financial crisis.
