Telangana Congress leadership reviews BC quota issue, briefs AICC

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Telangana BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday briefed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud on the latest developments following the state government’s approval to implement 42 per cent reservation for BCs in local body elections and the filing of a petition in the Supreme Court on the matter.
Later in the day, PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vakiti Srihari held discussions with AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan in Hyderabad.
They apprised her of the state government’s position and the implications of the Supreme Court’s ruling on 42 per cent BC reservations, a party statement said.
