Stalin slams BJP, calls party a ‘Parasite’ exploiting Karur tragedy for politics

Chennai, Oct 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin today criticised the BJP saying the party had not sent a delegation to Manipur but had now dispatched a team of MPs to Karur “seeking political mileage” in the aftermath of the stampede that claimed 41 lives.
“The BJP sent a delegation to Karur not out of concern for Tamil Nadu, but to exploit the tragedy for political gain since Assembly elections are on the anvil. They did not send delegations to strife-torn Manipur, to Gujarat or to the Kumbh Mela . They are out to use this either to threaten or coerce someone to serve their interests. When Tamil Nadu witnessed three major natural disasters that affected thousands, the union Finance Minister did not visit the state or extend financial relief, but she came to Karur,'' he said while inaugurating projects and laying foundations for new programmes in Ramanathapuram district.
Describing the RSS as ''divisive'', Stalin said, “In its centenary year, the RSS has accelerated its agenda. Opposing their designs to protect the country will continue under the next DMK government, to be formed after the election.”
