BJP leader Vijayendra celebrates 50th birthday with protesting sugarcane farmers

Belagavi, Nov 5 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday alongside sugarcane farmers staging a protest at Gurlapur Cross in Belagavi district, describing it as an unforgettable moment of solidarity with the state’s food providers.
Addressing the agitating farmers, Vijayendra said their fight for justice would not go in vain. He cautioned ministers against shifting blame onto the Centre, remarking, "Ministers should not come here and put the blame on the central government. If they plan to, I will not be around when they arrive."
He alleged that sugarcane farmers were being cheated on weight and recovery issues. "Farmers are being deceived in broad daylight. Their hardship under the scorching sun should not continue. Their problems must end soon," he said.
