Priyank Kharge hits back at BJP over Bengaluru traffic

Bengaluru, Oct 11 (UNI) Minister Priyank Kharge today reacted to BJP’s criticism over the traffic situation in Bengaluru, saying that problems are natural alongside development and challenging BJP leaders to secure central government funding.
Millions of people migrate to Bengaluru from across India in search of employment, leading to increased traffic congestion, overcrowding, and transport-related issues in the city. Responding to BJP leaders’ criticism, Kharge questioned whether they had the common sense to identify problems and provide solutions.
Kharge highlighted the government’s ongoing infrastructure projects, noting that the metro has been expanded by 86 km, 136 km of suburban railways are under construction, 32 km of double-decker roads are being built, and 40 km of tunnels are underway. “Aren’t these all signs of progress? Yet, it is natural for some challenges to arise alongside development. Cities like Pune and Mumbai face similar problems,” he said.
