BJP slams Kerala CM Vijayan over RSS remarks

Bengaluru, Oct 3 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan today criticised Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his recent statement comparing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with Israel's Zionist movement.
Speaking to reporters, Ashwathnarayan said, "What else can one expect from Pinarayi Vijayan? He is a senior leader with long-standing experience, and yet he should make responsible statements. The RSS is an organisation that has never sought power. Its members have dedicated their lives without expectation, often leaving family and personal comforts behind, committed solely to human values, nation, culture, and tradition."
He added, "In contrast, Vijayan holds power and position. Kerala is a very progressive state, and its people are far more advanced than he perceives. Yet, his government has left the state in financial crisis and bankruptcy. For someone of his age and experience, he should set an example with responsible statements. Instead, on the occasion of the RSS's centenary, he has sent a message that is neither fair nor statesmanlike."
