SC Railway Zone opens new chapter for AP development; operations from June 1

Visakhapatnam, May 8 (UNI): Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat on Friday said the South Coast Railway Zone would open a new chapter in the development of Andhra Pradesh, as its official operations are set to commence from June 1 with Visakhapatnam as the headquarters.
Welcoming the Gazette Notification issued by the Central Government for the establishment of the South Coast Railway Zone, Sribharat expressed happiness that one of the key assurances given to the people of Visakhapatnam during the 2024 elections had now been fulfilled.
Addressing a media conference at his office in Lawsons Bay Colony along with alliance party representatives here, he said protecting the historic Waltair Division, now functioning as the Visakhapatnam Railway Division, was also treated as a matter of prestige and successfully safeguarded.
