BJP's '400 Paar' Gambit: Nadda fires up base, aims at divisive opposition

BJP's '400 Paar' Gambit: Nadda fires up base, aims at divisive opposition

Shivamogga, April 30 (UNI) Addressing a section of the media here on Tuesday, BJP National President JP Nadda expressed unwavering confidence in BJP-led NDA's electoral prospects, underlining Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Nadda projected a comfortable majority of 'chaar sau paar' for the coalition in the upcoming elections, a statement indicative of their optimism.
Accusing the Opposition of resorting to divisive tactics borne out of desperation, Nadda pointed to instances in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as evidence of their divisive agenda. He referred to Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's stance against religious-based reservation, suggesting a departure from constitutional principles by the Opposition.
"Under the steadfast leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP-NDA is forging ahead with resolute momentum, poised to achieve an emphatic victory with '400 paar.' This undeniable surge has left the Opposition in a state of disarray, plunging them into a profound sense of despondency, and compelling them to resort to divisive tactics that sow discord within society.
"Their manifesto is a testament to their concealed agenda, reminiscent of their actions in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. As Bhimrao Ambedkar rightfully asserted, the Constitution unequivocally prohibits reservation on religious grounds," he said.
Nadda reserved criticism for the Congress, accusing them of engaging in appeasement politics towards the minority Muslim community.
"The Congress party's narrow definition of minorities equates solely to Muslims, reflecting their penchant for divisive appeasement politics. Frustrated by their waning influence, they have resorted to desperate measures, including the propagation of deceitful deep-fake videos, driven by a separatist mindset and divisive forces," he said.
Nadda claimed that the Opposition's frustration had led them to propagate deep-fake videos, alleging the involvement of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in their dissemination.
"Following a thorough investigation, it has been revealed that the incendiary video was uploaded onto social media using the phone of the Telangana Chief Minister. Shockingly, leaders of the INDI alliance and their affiliated parties have displayed a blatant disregard for ethics and integrity, shamelessly standing by their actions," he said.
The BJP leader reiterated the party's commitment to the nation's interests and attributed their confidence in electoral success to their dedicated work.
