VHP demands cancellation of Miss World 2025 in Telangana, cites security concerns

Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has urged the Telangana government to cancel the upcoming Miss World 2025 pageant, questioning the participation of representatives from what it termed "enemy countries" such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Canada.
In a media statement issued here on Friday, VHP National Spokesperson Dr Ravinuthala Shashidhar stated that allowing delegates from these countries raises serious security concerns.
He further alleged that illegal infiltrators have established residences near sensitive defence installations such as DRDO and DRDL in Hyderabad.
