Military team returns to base after ten days of rescue and search operation at Wayanad

Wayanad, Aug 8 (UNI) Around 400 Army personnel engaged in rescue and search operations in the landslide areas of Wayanad returned to their origin bases on Thursday.
The army personnel from Pangode, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Bengaluru returned to their origin bases in the morning after ending their 10-day rescue and search operations at disaster areas, in which officially 225 people were killed, so far. "

AP: Free bus services by APSRTC for devotees within Tirumala

Tirumala, June 16 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Additional Executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday informed that state-owned APSRTC buses have been made available to ply within Tirumala transporting devotees free of cost.
Talking to reporters after flagging off the free RTC bus trips at Ashwini Hospital Circle in Tirumala, Chowdary said to prevent the high fares charged by private vehicles from devotees and to control pollution in Tirumala, TTD asked APSRTC to operate buses.
The RTC officials responded positively and came forward to operate buses.
