AP Floods: Around 6.44 lakh people affected in 20 districts

Vijayawada, Sep 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Housing and I&PR K Parthasarathi on Wednesday said that around 6.44 lakh people have been affected by the floods in the state and paddy crop damaged in 3.74 lakh acres in 20 districts.
Talking to the media here, the Minister said that horticulture crops were damaged on 47,543 acres as per the preliminary assessments.
The worst affected districts are the combined Krishna and Guntur districts, where crops were damaged to a large extent. The Minister said that roads to a length of 3,678 KM were damaged in the state due to heavy floods.
