Kerala approves additional Rs 300 crore guarantee for Women’s Development Corporation

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 7 (UNI) The Kerala Government has approved an additional Rs 300 crore state guarantee for the Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) to enable the agency to raise loans from national financial institutions.
Until 2016, the Corporation had a government guarantee of just Rs 140 crore. Since the Left Democratic Front (LDF) assumed office, guarantees worth Rs 1,155.56 crore have been extended over different phases.
With the latest sanction, the total guarantee available to KSWDC has now risen to Rs 1,595.56 crore, sources said.
