Telangana: 540 Indians rescued from Scam Compounds in Myanmar

Hyderabad, Mar 14 (UNI) The Government of India has successfully rescued and repatriated 540 Indian nationals who were trapped in cyber scam compounds in Myawaddy, Myanmar.
These individuals were brought back to Delhi in two batches --283 in the first batch and 257 in the second on March 10 and 11, 2025.
Among the rescued Indians, 24 are from Telangana. Fourteen individuals from the first batch reached Hyderabad from Delhi on March 11, while the remaining 10 arrived on March 12, 2025, a statement from DGP office here said on Friday.

AP EAGLE report: 46,011 Kgs ganja seized, 1,836 NDPS cases registered

Vijayawada, Feb 14 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh police seized 46,011 kg of ganja and scientifically incinerated and disposed of 1,12,406 kg of the narcotic in the previous year, as per a report of the state's Enhanced Action Group for Legal Enforcement (EAGLE).

The annual EAGLE 2025 report revealed that from January 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026, the law enforcement agency seized over 46 tonnes of ganja, registered 1,836 NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases, and imposed Rs 72.44 lakh fines.
