Millet-Utopia 2025: UoH celebrates sustainability with 50 schools and over 1,300 students

Hyderabad, Jan 5 (UNI) The University of Hyderabad (UoH) hosted Millet-Utopia 2025, an inter-school event that highlighted the critical role of millets in food security, nutrition, energy, and environmental sustainability.
Held on Saturday, the event witnessed the participation of 1,358 students from 50 schools across Hyderabad, along with 168 accompanying teachers. Students from classes 8 to 10 showcased their talents and creativity in a celebration of sustainability and innovation.
The event was inaugurated by Prof Appa Rao Podile, former Vice-Chancellor of UoH and Senior Professor in the Department of Plant Sciences.
