With exit polls portraying confused scenario in TN, stage set for counting of Votes tomorrow to install new govt

Chennai, May 3 (UNI) With various exit poll results leaving political parties perplexed, the stage is set for counting of votes polled in the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, tomorrow to install the new government.
Never in the past had a battle at the hustings witnessed post poll predictions projecting the possibility of all the three leading players -- the ruling DMK-led Front, the Opposition AIADMK-led NDA and the fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-turned-neta Vijay, who has emerged as a dark horse -- forming the government.
Of the multiple exit poll surveys, some projected DMK to retain power for a second successive term winning anywhere between 125 to 145/150 seats in the 234-member Assembly, while some others forecast return of AIADMK to power winning 145 to 160/170 seats, with one pollster favouring Vijay's TVK to win its maiden battle securing more than 165 to 170 seats.
