Women representation in new TN Assembly doubles from 12 to 23, but far less in tune with their strength

Chennai, May 8 (UNI) Despite women outnumbering men and outscoring and outperforming them in various fields, their representation in the State Legislature was not in tune with their strength and their prolific rise in the male-dominated society amid various political parties rolling out several women-centric programmes while being in power, besides a slew of promises during elections.
The Representation of women in the newly constituted 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly has doubled in this election, with 23 members of the fair sex making it to the august house.

AIG Doctors warn against trivialising fatty liver disease on World NASH Day
