SEC announces schedule for local body elections in Telangana

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) The State Election Commission (SEC) today released the schedule for Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC), Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Gram Panchayat elections in Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at the SEC office, Commissioner Rani Kumudini, IAS (Retd), said the elections will be conducted in five phases, beginning on October 9 and concluding on November 11.
MPTC and ZPTC elections will be held in two phases, with nominations being accepted from October 9. Polling for the first phase will take place on October 23 and the second phase on October 27.
