Education key to progress, says Telangana Dy CM; Announces key initiatives to improve quality of education

Khammam, April 9 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Thursday said education is the true weapon for progress and stressed that only education can empower children and build an equal and progressive society.
Addressing after distributing free bicycles to students of government schools and colleges under Amma Foundation initiative at Bonakal here, Bhatti said students must shape their future by treating education as their strongest weapon and added that disparities in society can be eliminated only through education.
He said the recent socio-economic, educational, employment and caste survey conducted by the state government has clearly shown that development is possible only through education.

Integrated conservation framework proposed to combat illegal Marine Wildlife Trade

Kochi, May 13 (UNI) Amid growing concerns over the illegal trade in marine wildlife species, experts and enforcement officials have called for an integrated conservation framework that combines science, policy support, enforcement and community participation to strengthen protection measures along India's coasts.
The call was made during a three-day national capacity building workshop hosted by ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute in association with Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and WWF-India at Kochi.
