AI filmmaking scholarship for women announced

Kochi, Apr 30 (UNI) In a move aimed at strengthening female representation in Malayalam cinema while embracing emerging technologies, the School of Storytelling (SOS) has announced what it describes as India’s first AI filmmaking scholarship exclusively for female students.
Titled “Her Lens: AI Filmmaking Scholarship for Women,” the initiative is designed for female college students and seeks to blend cinematic storytelling with artificial intelligence. The programme is based on the idea that AI is not just a technical tool, but a new frontier for creative expression, and aims to bring more women into this evolving space.
The scholarship is part of the WAVE 1.0 AI filmmaking movement, which was inaugurated by actor Kamal Haasan.
