Telangana Govt to spend Rs 251 cr on Sammakka Saralamma temple development

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) The Telangana government will invest Rs 251 crore for the development of the Sammakka Saralamma Temple in Medaram, Mulugu district, a major pilgrimage site visited by millions, said Revenue and Warangal in-charge Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy today.
Minister Reddy, along with Panchayat Raj Minister Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka, reviewed the ongoing development works at the temple and inspected progress with officials.
He stated that during Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent visit, Rs 101 crore was sanctioned, of which tenders worth Rs 71 crore have been called. The government plans to develop the temple on a permanent basis in phases, adding to the Rs 150 crore sanctioned previously.
