Deve Gowda cancels 92nd birthday celebrations amid family controversies

Bengaluru, May 16 (UNI) JDS supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, who is turning 92 on May 18, announced on Thursday that he has cancelled his birthday celebrations.
In a statement to his supporters, Deve Gowda said, "As I turn 91 years old on May 18 and step into my 92nd year, I have decided not to celebrate my birthday for various reasons. In light of this, I encourage all of you to send your wishes from wherever you are."
Deve Gowda urged everyone to focus on the upcoming Legislative Council elections and work towards ensuring the victory of NDA candidates, emphasising the importance of performing their duties with commitment to the organisation. He expressed his gratitude to party workers and fans for their trust and support.
