TN: Customs officials seize 5.155 kg Hydroponic Weed from passenger at Trichy airport

Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), Mar 24 (UNI) The Customs Intelligence Unit (CIU) officials seized 5.155 kg of Hydroponic Weed, a narcotic substance from a passenger at Tiruchirapalli International Airport.
Based on specific intelligence, the officers of CIU, Tiruchirapalli recovered the Hydroponic Weed, approximately valued at Rs 5.1 crore from a passenger who arrived at the airport from Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia flight on Sunday, said Tiruchirapalli Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate in a post on X, this evening.
The narcotic substance was found concealed in checked-in-luggage of the passenger.
