DFI depositors asked to submit details for recovery process: Hyderabad Police

Hyderabad, June 10 (UNI): Hyderabad City Police have appealed to all depositors of Dhanwantari Foundation International (DFI), who have not yet submitted their investment details to the Central Crime Station (CCS), to do so at the earliest to facilitate the recovery and distribution process.
Based on a complaint lodged by Susrala Narsimha Murthy, a case was registered at CCS, Hyderabad, on December 23, 2023, against the foundation under Sections 406 and 420 read with 34 of the IPC and Section 5 of the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments (TGPDFE) Act, police said in a release on Wednesday.
Investigations revealed that Dhanwantari Foundation International Trust, represented by its director Dr. P. Kamalakar Sharma and others, allegedly lured senior citizens and members of the Brahmin community by promising attractive returns on deposits within a specified period.
