Hyderabad Cyber Crime busts 184 profiles, blocks 801 ads in crackdown on Online Betting, Fake Investment Scams

Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) The Cyber Crime Unit of Hyderabad City Police has reported a major breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to curb illegal online betting, gaming promotions, and fraudulent investment schemes.
During April, the unit identified 184 social media profiles on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram that were actively promoting unlawful betting apps and fake investment websites, a police release said here today.
These profiles were linked to 801 paid advertisements designed to target users across India with promises of easy money, bonuses, referral commissions, and high returns.
