ACB catches RI accepting Rs 12,000 bribe in Medak Municipal Office

Hyderabad, Mar 11 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday caught red-handed a Revenue Inspector (RI) from the Municipal Office in Medak Town and District while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 12,000.
At around 1 pm, the accused officer, Nakirekanti Janaiah, was caught red-handed while demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 and accepting Rs 12,000 from the complainant to perform an official favour.
The bribe was intended to facilitate an inquiry on the application of Ms Gelli Shailaja regarding an open plot in Sy. No. 505/1/1/2, measuring 605 square yards, belonging to her brother Srinivas.
