ACB traps Dy State Tax Officer accepting Rs 10,000 bribe

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Deputy State Tax Officer when he was accepting a bribe amount of Rs 10,000
The Accused Officer (AO) Dinne Venkateshwar Reddy, Deputy State Tax Officer / ACTO, Mahabubnagar demanded and accepted a bribe amount of Rs 10,000 from the complainant to do an official favour "to issue GST License to the complainant for running Seeds & Scrap Business in the name of VDN Traders at Marlu, Mahabubnagar town."
The tainted bribe amount of Rs 10000 was recovered from the possession of the A.O. The portion of the file that came into contact with the tainted bribe amount yielded positive results in a chemical test.
