Kerala: Ramesh Chennithala records statement before SIT in Sabarimala gold theft case

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 14 (UNI) Former Kerala Home Minister and senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Sunday said he had fully cooperated with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged gold theft at Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple by sharing all the information available with him.
After appearing before the SIT, Chennithala told mediapersons that he had informed the investigators about possible links between the Sabarimala gold theft and international antiques smuggling networks.
“I placed before the SIT all the information I had received regarding this controversy. I have specifically explained how this theft could be connected to international antiques smugglers, and the team has recorded these details,” he said.
