PRD AIO rank list row: PT Chacko alleges Kerala CMO role

Kochi, Apr 8 (UNI) A major controversy has erupted over the Assistant Information Officer (AIO) rank list published by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC), with allegations of irregularities and alleged interference by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) coming under sharp scrutiny.
The issue was brought to the fore by PT Chacko, former press secretary to late Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who, in a Facebook post, termed the episode a “shocking case of backdoor appointments” in the Public Relations Department (PRD).
The rank list, published on February 25, has drawn criticism after reports that it was prepared without any officially reported vacancies. Critics allege that the move was aimed at facilitating appointments in the government’s publicity wing ahead of the end of the current administration’s tenure.

He expressed his profound concern over reports from the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG), which suggest that a "guess paper" sold for exorbitant sums contained nearly 150 questions identical to the official exam.
