Kerala: Police case against 5000 CPI-M leaders, workers for obstructing traffic

Kannur, Feb 25 (UNI) Police in Kerala's Kannur town have registered a case against 5000-odd CPI(M) workers including 11 party leaders for blocking the Kargil- Yogasala road near Jawahar Municipal stadium and the Magistrate court during a protest demonstration.
The protestors highlighted the slogan "Is not Kerala in India" and accused the Central government of showering "neglect and economic sanctions " on the state.
The case is registered against 5000 odd CPI(M) workers, including party's district Secretary M V Jayarajan, K V Sumesh, MLA, former MLAs E P Jayarajan, P Jayarajan, T V Rajesh, M Prakash and others for obstructing traffic in the main road, thereby inconveniencing the public.
