CPM slams Union Budget 2025-26 as pro-corporate, calls for statewide protests

Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) The Telangana Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) has strongly criticised the Union Budget 2025-26, calling it a pro-corporate budget that neglects the common people.
In a statement here on Saturday, State Secretary Joh Wesley accused the government of prioritising the interests of big businesses while failing to introduce welfare measures for workers and marginalized communities.
He condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim that the budget benefits the people, stating that it primarily serves corporate interests. The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee has announced statewide protests against what it calls an "anti-people" budget.
