Dr Prasanta K Patro Awarded National Geoscience Award 2023

Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Dr B Prasanta K Patro, Chief Scientist at the CSIR National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) in Hyderabad, has been honored with the prestigious National Geoscience Award 2023 by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
This recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions to Geophysics and Applied Geophysics, an NGRI statement said on Tuesday.
Dr Patro's academic journey commenced with a B.Sc. from Berhampur University, Odisha, followed by an M.Sc. from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He pursued his PhD from Osmania University, Hyderabad, after joining NGRI.
