Adilabad to get Telangana’s largest joint airfield airport after Shamshabad: MLA Payal Shankar

Hyderabad/New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar on Thursday announced that Telangana’s largest Joint Airfield Airport after Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport would soon come up in Adilabad district, describing it as a historic step towards transforming the region into an industrial and economic hub.
The BJP MLA said the proposed airport project would be developed over nearly 1,980 acres under the joint aegis of the union Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Civil Aviation. He stated that the project was being fast-tracked with the cooperation of both the Central and State governments.
Payal Shankar, who met Defence Ministry Joint Secretary Mahanty in New Delhi, handed over official land allocation documents approved by the Telangana Government for the construction of the airport.
