PNG for 250 homes ready in 100 days, Surya inaugurates

Bengaluru, Jan 14 (UNI) In a rare example of fast-tracked urban infrastructure delivery, a piped natural gas (PNG) network connecting 250 homes at SBI Colony in JP Nagar 1st Phase was completed in just 100 days and inaugurated on Wednesday by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya.
The City Gas Distribution project, implemented by GAIL India, has brought clean and safe piped natural gas directly to households, ending residents’ dependence on LPG cylinders. The rapid execution of the project has drawn attention as a model for time-bound delivery of civic infrastructure in the city.
Speaking at the inauguration, Surya said completing the project within 100 days demonstrates what coordinated efforts between government agencies, elected representatives and citizens can achieve. He said PNG connectivity not only improves safety and convenience but also strengthens Bengaluru’s urban energy network.
