Telangana Govt issues guidelines for loan waiver scheme up to Rs 2 Lakh

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) The Telangana Government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has issued guidelines for the agriculture loan waiver scheme for loans up to Rs 2 lakh.
According to the Government Order (GO), the crop loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakh applies to every farmer family owning land in the state. The waiver applies only to short-term crop loans and is available for loans taken from scheduled commercial banks, regional rural banks, district cooperative central banks, and their branches within the state.
The scheme covers loans sanctioned or renewed on or after December 12, 2018, and crop loans outstanding as of December 9, 2023. Both the principal and interest outstanding till December 9, 2023, are eligible for the waiver.
