Telangana BJP warns Maha Dharna will intensify into “Maha Dharmayudh” against Congress Govt

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Telangana BJP State President N Ramchander Rao declared that the party’s “Maha Dharna” held at Dharna Chowk on Sunday would soon transform into a “Maha Dharmayudh” — a mass movement demanding good governance and the ousting of what he termed a deceptive and inefficient Congress government.
Speaking at the protest, observed as “People’s Betrayal Day,” Rao said people across Telangana were beginning to question why a government that “insults Hindu gods, jeopardises the future of youth, and ignores women’s safety” should remain in power. The agitation, he said, aims to force immediate implementation of the promises made by the ruling Congress and to expose what he described as the failures of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s administration.
Rao alleged that the Congress came to power on the back of six guarantees and 420 promises, yet has failed to deliver even one. He accused the government of neglecting key commitments, including clearance of fee-reimbursement arrears, Aarogyasri dues, timely salaries to state employees, pension benefits, unemployment allowance, Rythu Bharosa support for farmers and financial assistance for women. “People are rightly questioning why the Congress has not fulfilled even the most basic assurances,” he said.
